I am a Brazilian artist based in London at the Wimbledon Art Studios. I graduated as an Industrial Designer and transitioned to the world of fine art after years working as an art editor for magazines, bringing with me an eye for graphic visuals.

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, I have always been fascinated by the vibrant colours and textures found in Brazilian nature and culture. I also get inspiration from my travels and the natural world beyond my homeland. My work is a reflection of this fascination and my deep love for the beauty that surrounds me back in Brazil, my travels or the gorgeous parks in the UK.

My work is inspired by my love of nature and plants, which I capture in vibrant colours and bold, graphic shapes. Drawing on my background in graphic design, I transform my own photographs into stylised images using oil painting and screen-printing as mediums. I believe art can play an important role in raising awareness of the need to protect the environment. My prints and screen-printing work are printed on recycled or natural fiber paper.

Once I select a photograph to work from, I begin the process of translating it onto canvas or paper. Considering each colour, texture, and shape working to create a composition that captures the essence of the subject. Working to combine a vivid and expressive use of colour with a graphic depiction of tropical exotic leaves, plants, flowers and trees. With my prints and screen-printing work I create bold, graphic images with clean texture and sharp contrast.

I am passionate about my work and love the process of creating art. For me, painting and screen-printing are a way to connect with the world around me and to share my vision with others. I am excited to continue exploring new techniques and pushing the boundaries of what is possible with painting and screen-printing.
